Joseph died in faith, but there is so much to commend his faith through out his life. It will help to appreciate his faith if we look at some of this first. His brothers hated him and they threw him into a pit when he was only 17 years old. But it was not God's plan for Joseph to die in a pit, he was sold into slavery. He remained faithful. Pray that you will have such a faith as Joseph.

Why did Jesus heal this blind man in stages? At first he could only partially see. I believe the relevance is found in the disciples failure to believe fully. Christ warned them to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod. This is about seeing and hearing but failing to believe.

It is important to have a faithful version of the Bible. Don't go for easiness! When I first became a Christian I refused to use the King James. Now I use it because I believe it presents a clearer understanding of what God is saying.
