By faith Moses took God at his word. He believed that God would passover the houses where there was blood. This takes us back to the definition of faith, an element of faith takes you into the future. Moses belived that God would judge.

What does it take to resist evil orders? Pharaoh had ordered the death of all baby boys at a time when Moses was born. How did his parents react? By faith they hid him. We need faith in God that is stronger than the fear of men.

Joseph died in faith, but there is so much to commend his faith through out his life. It will help to appreciate his faith if we look at some of this first. His brothers hated him and they threw him into a pit when he was only 17 years old. But it was not God's plan for Joseph to die in a pit, he was sold into slavery. He remained faithful. Pray that you will have such a faith as Joseph.
