Apostacy

The writer to the Hebrews has been seeking to correct the serious errors of those who have left Judaism for Christianity, but are now looking back to Moses instead. He presents Christ to their hearts of unbelief and reminds them that unbelief caused the Israelites of old to die in the wilderness. This is clearly a warning; don't take for granted the riches of God's grace in Christ. Turn your back on it and you are like those unbelieving Israelites.
