The glory of Christ! We need afresh to behold him. This is so clear in Revelation 4 where the throne, the Lamb and song are seen.

Boaz was a man of faith. When the famine came to the land he did not leave. He trusted in the Lord to provide.

Gideon's call gives us a picture of an unbeliever coming to a saving faith in Christ.

Goliath taunted Israel to fight. David took up that challenge. He rejected Saul's armour. Goliath ridiculed David, but David defeated him with the first stone from his sling. We see the weakness and disobedience of King Saul. He was a tall strong man, but he had no faith in the Lord.

The Eldership is responsible for preaching and teaching the word of God faithfully. Sadly today, many churches are run more like a business which seeks to give unregenerate people what they want, rather than calling sinners to repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and him crucified. Your prayers are needed for ministers of the Gospel to be faithful.
