The Apostle Paul spoke of a love that is so powerful that it took hold of him but not just him - Look at verse 14 where it is written, "For the love of Christ constraineth us". He was speaking of a love that was so powerful that it took hold of him and the other Christians who were with him at the time and also to us who belong to Jesus.
