The Lord Jesus had warned that the scribes would strain at a gnat but swallow a camel. One of those men came to Jesus asking, "which is the greatest commandment?" In his answer, Jesus showed the law to be perfect, but we are not, we are sinners. This man was not far from the kingdom, but being close will never be enough.
