Man of Sorrows

The prophet speaks clearly of the Lord Jesus Christ, as one writer explains, "His life was one continued chain of labour, sorrow and consuming pain." Another says that "He was never seen to laugh." He wept, he was exceedingly sorrowful, but no laughter. He was acquainted with grief, with sickness, with our physical afflictions. His heart went out to all who were sick.
