John The Baptist - Voice Crying In The Wilderness

John had the ministry of preparing the way for the Lord Jesus Christ. We can learn a lot from what he ate and what he wore. There was nothing fancy in his life, he did not promote himself. He was a reminder of Elijah whom God raised up to rebuke kings, and call for repentance towards God. A protest against self centredness and self indulgence. He would make us very uncomfortable too.
