Give Thanks To God

It is so important to give thanks to God for all his provisions to you, whether they are material or spiritual. Giving thanks to God does nor come naturally, but if we were to fully give thanks we would not have time to do so. Martin Rinkart was a pastor who spent most of his time burying his parishioners during the 30 years war. He wrote the hymn Now thank we all our God with heart and hands and voices, who wondrous things has done, in whom his world rejoices; who from our mothers' arms has blessed us on our way with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today. Our tendency is to blame God for everything, not realising that we deserve nothing good from God and he owes us nothing.
