In his High Priestly prayer Jesus prayed for his Apostles. He desired that they be sanctified througth the truth.

The Old Testament is not all doom and gloom. It tells us the truth about ourselves but it also speaks of the joy of sins forgiven.

Do you know the only true God as your heavenly Father? Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour? Do you have eternal life? It's either yes, yes, yes or no, no, no.

Jesus is the True Vine; Christians are living branches who are savingly connected to him and they bring forth much fruit as they draw on his enabling grace. In Galatians 5, the Apostle Paul teaches about the Fruit of the Spirit.

Jesus was very clear. He was hated so his disciples will be hated too. There is a condition, people have to know that you are a disciple of Jesus before you will meet hatred for it. One sure way to be hated is to tell people that they need to repent towards God and have faith in Christ.
