Mobile phone Interference

Cellphone lights up[14-04-2007] updated 18-03-2008 -

The sounds system in the church hall is unavoidably a little sensitive to interference from any nearby mobile phones when they receive calls or text messages. Yes that's what those sound effects were!

Please note that this interference is not dependent on cellphones having their ringers turned on.

Even a phone on "Silent" will cause the same interference. We are grateful for all church attenders for their total switching off of phones during all meetings. Some persons may wish to keep a phone on in case of emergency. We of course wish to accommodate, but would be most grateful if you could switch to "Silent" and preferably not sit too close to the amplifier (in the organ corner of the church).

Thank you for your co-operation.

More positive technology news!

In recent weeks the church and charity has put its new digital presentation equipment to good use. Having purchased a combination of digital projector and laptop computer we are enjoying multimedia input to some of our meetings.

Whilst there are no imminent plans to use the equipment during our traditional worship services, it has enabled us to view Powerpoint presentations, and video reports from our partners in the gospel. More tech news...
