Local Evangelism

For many years now, Grace Baptist Church Peel has considered it a privellage to take the good news of the evangel to every household in Peel.

Every summer members and friends of GBCP deliver leaflets all around Peel to encourage local children to attend the Holiday Bible Club. However, taking time to stop and talk to local residents about the Lord, His Church and the Way of salvation, takes rather longer.

Still the need is there and our fellowship maintains a constitutional commitment to getting around Peel again.

We live in an age where fewer people have any contact with gospel truth, whether in school, popular culture or church calendar ritual. Some are curious but lack the motivation to go a step further and challenge Christians about their faith.

Others are too timid to darken the doorway of a church. Yet more are simply unchallenged about their lifestyle and spiritual need. This bears out what the apostle Paul says in Romans 10:14 - "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

Free Grace Record

The church has produced an A4-sized magazine called the Free Grace Record for taking door-to-door around the town.

It contains details about the churches activities, members and of course the gospel of Christ's death and resurrection.

It further seeks to demystify the church and misconceptions that folk have surrounding the Christian faith.

Here are a few facts about the Free Grace Record:

• It is provided free to all seekers and residents of Peel as we visit.
• It is called the Free Grace Record to emphasize God's free and sovereign grace toward sinners.
