Grace Hymns 281 CM
Father I will that they ... be with Me Jn 17 24
Awake, sweet gratitude, and sing
The ascended Saviour's love:
Sing how He lives to carry on
His people's cause above.
2 With cries and tears He offered up
His humble suit below;
But with authority He asks,
Enthroned in glory now.
3 For all that come to God by Him,
Salvation He demands;
Points to their names upon His breast,
And spreads His wounded hands.
4 His sweet atoning sacrifice
Gives sanction to His claim:
Father, I will that all My saints
Be with Me where I am.
5 Eternal life, at His request,
To every saint is given.
Safety on earth, and after death
The plenitude of heaven.
6 Founded on right, Thy prayer avails.
The Father smiles on Thee;
And now Thou in Thy kingdom art.
Dear Lord, remember me.
AUGUSTUS Μ TOPLADY 1740-78
Psalm 146
21 Arden. 54 Ealington. 126 St Stephen
1 Praise God. The Lord praise, O my soul.
2 I’ll praise God while I live;
While I have being to my God
in songs I’ll praises give.
3 Trust not in princes, nor man’s son,
in whom there is no stay:
4 His breath departs, to’s earth he turns;
that day his thoughts decay.
5 O happy is that man and blest,
whom Jacob’s God doth aid;
Whose hope upon the Lord doth rest,
and on his God is stay’d:
6 Who made the earth and heavens high,
who made the swelling deep,
And all that is within the same;
who truth doth ever keep:
7 Who righteous judgment executes
for those oppress’d that be,
Who to the hungry giveth food;
God sets the pris’ners free.
8 The Lord doth give the blind their sight,
the bowed down doth raise:
The Lord doth dearly love all those
that walk in upright ways.
9 The stranger’s shield, the widow’s stay,
the orphan’s help, is he:
But yet by him the wicked’s way
turn’d upside down shall be.
10 The Lord shall reign for evermore:
thy God, O Sion, he
Reigns to all generations.
Praise to the Lord give ye.
Grace Hymns 283 CM
Thou art a priest for ever after the order
of Melchizedek Ps 110 4
Thou dear Redeemer, dying Lamb,
We love to hear of Thee;
No music's like Thy charming name.
Nor half so sweet can be.
2 O, let us ever hear Thy voice.
In mercy to us speakl
And in our Priest we will rejoice,
Thou great Melchizedek.
3 Our Jesus shall be still our theme
While in this world we stay:
We'll sing our Jesus' lovely name,
When all things else decay.
4 When we appear in yonder cloud.
With all Thy favoured throng.
Then will we sing more sweet, more loud.
And Christ shall be our song.
JOHN CENNICK 1718-65
Once more the Covid-19 virus has returned to our island community and so with regret we have had to suspend our regular meetings. In the meantime our meetings will be online with messages added to our website afterwards. For details or if the Church can be of help to you, please contact us.
We are very mindful of the importance of the Lord's people assembling together regularly and are anxious to resume meetings as soon as it is safe to do so.
The 21st of June 2020 marked the first Lord's Day that we had been able to meet together as a church since March. In the will of the Lord the Isle of Man was affected by the Coronavirus pandemic and it seemed providential for us to refrain from meeting. In preparation for the return CC Clean had been in and left the premises sparkling. Friends young and old met up once more. We sang some great hymns and the word was preached. Glory be to God Almighty!

In view of the request of the Chief Minister to avoid all public gatherings, we will not be holding any church meetings or groups for the time being. As we wait to see what the effects of Coronavirus (Covid-19) will be in the Isle of Man, we know that God is sovereign. Our lives are by his grace. As Christians, we are in Christ, living stones built up as a spiritual house, an holy priesthood. Our regular meetings together are important, let us pray that public worship may resume soon. Let us daily remember that we are witnesses to those around us of Christ, and intercessors for all men to God. As our trust is in Christ Jesus, we shall not be confounded. By his grace may we be enabled to show forth his praise at this time.
We hope it will not be long before normal meetings can resume.
